OK CONNERY
Alberto De Martino1966
Neil Connery, Daniele Bianchi LETTERBOXED PRINT
The Italian producers of this spy spoof REALLY went for the Bond connection by hiring Sean
Connery's untalented dentist brother, Neil for the lead!! Then they hired all the supporting
actors such as Mrs Moneypenny, Q and Bond's boss to play essentially the same parts! Directed
by Alberto de Martino and scored by Ennio Morricone, if you haven't seen this one then by all
means do so immediately!

ONLY THE COOL (1969)
Klaus Kinski, Lili Palmer, Michele Constatine, Stephane Audran in English Letterboxed print
A man secretly works for an Industrial espionage spy group and cold bloodly steals plans and
kills off an extraneous lover. His wife (Stephane Audrane) has no idea about all this and when
informed he's fooling around, promptly kills him and his fellow agent in a fit of passion. The
head of the Paris organization (Lili Palmer) tries to track her down to silence the scared woman
but is having problems with the local police (Michel Constatine). When the organization sends in
their #1 guy (Klaus Kinski in his usual eccentric performance) to help Palmer, it really gets
complicated! An offbeat sixties French film with hippies and bad fashion statements in the
background.

OPERATION ATLANTIS (1965)
Paolo Bianchini1965
John Ericson LETTERBOXED PRINT
If you're a fan of Italian spy flicks here's a good one starring John Ericson as the suave secret
agent trying to capture a madman before he turns the world into an ocean. Paolo Bianchini
directs

OPERATION EXTERMINATION
Umberto Lenzi1965
Ingrid Schoeller, Alfredo Lupo, John Heston LETTERBOXED PRINT
Great spy film by Umberto Lenzi starring Ingrid Schoeller, Alberto Lupo, and John Heston with
a great 60s score by Angelo Lavagnino. A criminal organization is creating an anti-radar device
so the US government calls into action agent 008 (I guess 007 was busy making
THUNDERBALL!). Great locations and action, one of the best sixties spy films.

OPERATION POKER (1965)
Umberto Lenzi1965
Roger Browne, Helga Line LETTERBOXED UNCUT PRINT WITH SOME SCENES ENGLISH SUBBED
Stars Roger Browne and Helga Line in a spy film from the mid sixties. Directed by Umberto
Lenzi

OSS 117 TERROR IN TOKYO
Frederick Stafford, Marina Vlady
Rare letterboxed print of this terrific spy film starring Frederick Stafford as the cold blooded spy
OSS 117 (he kills two spies chasing him in a car by catching their vehicle on fire!). After a
navy base is destroyed by a secret weapon, Stafford is sent to Tokyo where the owners of the
secret weapon that destroyed the base are located. He meets a cohort (Marina Vlady looking
good here!) who admits she was forced to work for the other side. Has she come clean and
ready to help or is she setting Stafford up for the kill? Excellent spy film by director Michel
Boisrond.

OUR MAN IN CASABLANCA (1965) LETTERBOXED PRINT
American agent Brian Kerwin is sent to Casablanca to locate a missing dossier which can be used to blackmail an important politician. Several parties are interested in it - but who stole it, and where is it now? Kerwin is played by Lang Jeffries, who is a better actor than most of his competitors in this genre (notice the scene where he shows genuine sadness over the death of his female assistant). The women in "Our Man In Casablanca" are given plot-related roles, and are not used as mere eye-candy. And there are some classic genre touches, like echoing footsteps in the middle of a quiet night, and a villain with a special weapon (this time, a literally "electrifying" right hand). It's a technically well-done film, but somehow it's also quite tiresome. An example of this is the sequence where a car with Kerwin and a woman is being pursued by a plane spraying DDT on them. This is an ambitious sequence for the kind of budget these movies usually have, and it's pulled off well.
RIFFI IN AMSTERDAM (1967)
Sergio Grieco1967
Roger Browne, Evelyne Stewart LETTERBOXED PRINT
Master thief Rex (Roger Browne) Monroe successfully pulls off a big diamond heist but is
helpless to stop the murder of his partners. Suspecting the boss of the anonymous organization
that he works for, Rex agrees to do one more job. He ends up discovering a plot to use the
diamonds to create a powerful laser beam for a mad scientist. It's up to Rex to save the day.
Sixties spy kitsch (with the pre-requisite score by Piero Umiliani) with Evelyne Stewart as
Browne's co-star. Directed by Sergio Grieco.

RING AROUND THE WORLD (1966)
Antonio Margheriti
Richard Harrison, Helene Chanel, Giacomo Rossi-Stuart
A great film for sixties spy buffs and kitschy pop art scores by Piero Umiliani. Fred Lester
(Richard Harrison) is an undercover agent sent out to discover why men, who have taken out
insurance policies naming a certain bank as beneficiary, are mysteriously dying. Lester travels
the globe with the beautiful daughter (Helene Chanel) of the next potential victim to try and
beat the reaper (actually an assassin (played by Giacomo Rossi Stuart) who uses ice bullets to
kill his victims).
SEVEN GOLDEN MEN (1965)
Mario Vicario
Philippe Leroy, Rosanna Podesta, Gastone Moschin, Gabriele Tinti LETTERBOXED PRINT
One of the best Italian crime/caper films, this one spawned two sequels. Rosanna Podesta,
Philippe Leroy and their gang of seven (which includes Gastone Moschin & Gabrielle Tinti) plan
an elaborate gold robbery. In the tradition of Mission Impossible, there are dozens of close
calls and double crosses.

SEVEN GOLDEN MEN STRIKE AGAIN (1966)
Mario Vicario
Philippe Leroy, Rosanna Podesta, Gastone Moschin, Gabriele Tinti LETTERBOXED PRINT
Directo Mario Vicario's sequel to THE SEVEN GOLDEN MEN with the original cast (Rosanna
Podesta, Philippe Leroy, Gabriele Tinti, etc) returning in fine fashion. This time they are hired
by the US government to perform a job involving testing National security. Podesta (dressed in
black leather like Emma Peel) infiltrates a South American dictator's base of operations in order
to rest control from his hands while the men steal all his gold. This is like an Italian version of
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE.
SOMEBODY HAS STOLEN OUR RUSSIAN SPY (1968)
Jose Luis Madrid1968
Tom Adams, Diana Lorys in english with dutch subs
Excellent Spanish made Spy film starring Tom Adams, Diana Lorys, Tim Barret and Mary Paz
Pondal. Director Jose Luis Madrid (familiar to fans of Spanish Horror films) does a good job in
this 3rd entry in the originally British based Charles Vine series. He goes to Madrid where he is
seeking to find a mad scientist out to rule the world. He is of course captured and tortured.
Diana Lorys is featured so she too can be pursued by the bad guys and seduce Vine while she's
around (she always was hot stuff!)
