At Christmas Lucio Ridolfi (Vittorio Gassman), along with his wife and a couple of friends going on holiday to Sestriere. A beautiful and mysterious woman will cause a series of strange adventures that involve an intricate international conspiracy. During a trip is hit and stunned and he wakes up on a plane to Cairo with a passport in the name of a foreign national and alongside a woman who claims to be his wife. Lucio is forced to collaborate with U.S. agents in order to foil a plan to topple the Western economy through the introduction of counterfeit U.S. dollars.

This film, The Balearic Caper managed to draw into its web Daniela Bianchi and Harold Sakata. Bianchi is no stranger to spy fans. After her stint in From Russia With Love her career was dominated by spy films; appearing in titles such as Requiem For a Secret Agent, Operation Kid Brother, Code Name: Tiger and Special Mission Lady Chaplin – and a couple more There’s very little point outlining any of the plot, as you can no doubt picture the various scenarios of mistaken identity, double and triple cross as the various thieves try to acquire the correct sceptre and escape with it.

MEXICAN SLAYRIDE (1967)-In Italian with english subs, letterboxed print.
Lang Jeffries (Coplan), Sabine Sun (the countess), José María Caffarel (Langis) star in this excellent spy film by Riccardo Freda! When a bunch of paintings stolen by the Nazis during the Second World War start turning up in auctions around the world, the secret service are interested: just who is it who’s selling them? and why are they being sold right now? After the first agent dispatched to find out what’s going on is murdered, super-efficient spy Coplan (Lang Jeffries) is assigned the case and, given that he knows absolutely nothing about culture whatsoever, is ordered to take along a slightly more civilised, rookie agent, Fondane (Robert Party), with him.

THE PERFECT MAN FOR THE JOB (1967)-letterboxed print.
Another Eurospy flick with one of the finest opening theme tunes ever written. Expect some stolen diamonds, some plane crashes (well, one..) attractive ladies (Rosalba Neri) and erm... some funky gadgets... Actually, I don't really remember many of them but the rest of the usual stuff is in there.... Did I mention submarines and yachts? Stars Richard Harrison.

SICARIO 77 ALIVE OR DEAD (1968)-In Italian with english subs, letterboxed print.
Lester of the UK Secret Service follows a lead, from a rigged boxing match to Mr. King, a German scientist who is using his power and special knowledge to rebuild a Nazi regime and the world take-over. Rod Dana and Monica Randall co-star in this excellent eurospy film directed by Mino Guerrini.

HIGH SEASON FOR SPIES (1966)-IN GERMAN WITH ENG SUBS.
Leticia Roman, Peter Van Eyck and Antonio Vilar star in this rare Eurospy film. A scientist discovers the formula of a particular resistant steel, and a spy ring from an enemy power sets after him to obtain it.
JAMES TONT OPERATION 2 (1966)-IN ITALIAN WITH ENG SUBS, LETTERBOXED PRINT.Bruno Corbucci directs this spy spoof starring Lando Buzzanca, Claudi Lange and Antonella Murgia. The movie pokes fun at all the gadgets and villains that appeared in the first three Bond films. Instead of a stylish Austin-Martin he has a little Fiat )which goes 200mph and doubles as a submarine. The plot has James Tont assigned to prevent Goldsinger from blowing up a special meeting of the UN in Rome. I actually thought it was one of the better ripoffs of James Bond.

DEVILMAN STORY (1964)-Letterboxed.
Awesome Eurospy weirdness! Guy Madison stars in this excellent addition to the Eurospy genre. Investigating the disappearance of Prof Becker, who holds the key to life itself. A man mysteriously disappears during a trip to Africa. A daughter, accompanied by the hero of the moment, it forward into the forest to look for him and finds him in the company of a mad scientist who performs demential experiments in the human brain. Directed by Paolo Bianchini.


THE GORILLA WALTZES (1959)-In French with english subs.
Eurospy film by Bernard Borderie and starring Roger Hanin. This is the third feature in a series about an intrepid French spy by the nickname of "The Gorilla," but unlike the earlier films, this time around Roger Hanin replaces Lino Ventura in the title role. A West German scientist has discovered a way to recover missiles shot into space, and the major Western powers are after his secret. Even though the scientist is willing to pass his discovery on to NATO, it is guarded by an elite, undercover West German police force. As foreign agents, including the Russians and Americans, try to get their hands on the secret, "The Gorilla" is forced into the affair by his surly, aging boss -- he has to make sure that the scientist's discovery ends up with NATO.
THE GENTLEMAN FROM COCODY (1965)-In French with english subs.
Rare Eurospy film starring Jean Marais! An embassy attache (Jean Marais) opposes diamond smuggling and a secret society terrorizing the Ivory Coast. This is a comedy /action/ adventure. And it's a lot of fun. Jean Marais is great in this, as is the female lead, Liselotte Pulver . The great Robert Dalban is also in this.


13 DAYS TO DIE (1965)-Beautiful letterboxed print!
A 1965 Italian and West German spy film. Although it's more like a detective/crime film than spy flick, it still belongs in the eurospy club nonetheless. It stars Thomas Alder, Peter Carsen and well-known bodybuilder Serge Nubret as secret agents, as well as the ever so fun to watch Horst Frank as the usual bad guy. Plot: When a prince in Thailand discovers that he's being blackmailed and has been targeted for murder, a group of super secret-agents are called on to investigate. It seems that a criminal organization is behind the threats and their leader will stop at nothing to carry out his scheme. The investigation centers around a mysterious, priceless black ruby that belongs to the royal family that the criminals want very badly.
CASABLANCA NEST OF SPIES (1963)
IN ENGLISH WITH FINNISH SUBS. Rare Eurospy film! Henri Decoin's Noches de Casablanca is set in 1942, Casablanca is a hub of resistance. At a boat ramp, a German officer is killed and the briefcase he was carrying is stolen. To find the murderer and to dismantle a network of resistance, we turn to French police Commissioner, Maurice Desjardins (Maurice Ronet), the Germans are suspected of belonging to the network involved. The network in which the beautiful Teresa (Sara Montiel), a cabaret singer with whom he once lived a love story, is also involved.
