TIME OF THE VULTURES (1967)-LETTERBOXED PRINT. Director: Nando Cicero, Stars: George Hilton, Frank Wolff, Pamela Tudor. "Time of Vultures" is one of the best spaghetti-westerns I have ever seen. The description is not too difficult: Extremely cruel and sadistic italowestern, with cynicism brought on film length. George Hilton in one of his best performances. His role sways between a drunken ruffian, an aggressive revolver hero and a complete bastard. He plays Kitosch (a quite unusual name for a gunman), a cattle guardian at Don Jaimes (Eduardo Fajardo) ranch. When Kitosch is discovered with Don Jaimes wife (Pamela Tudor), he gets brand like an animal. But he succeeds in escaping. With the arrival in the next small town he tries to ask the sheriff for protection, because Don Jaime has put his men on Kitosch. However, instead of getting help, he is arrested and locked up to be delivered to Don Jaimes men. At this moment the hangdog Joshua Tracy (Frank Wolff), who is searched with the warrant of apprehension, appears. He kills the sheriff and his assistant and releases Kitosch. Together they are an unbeatable team. What do 2 criminals do? Clear, they commit crime.

The padre is accosted by the leaders of The Three Aces Gang, who demand that he show them the secret passage into the mission. When he refuses, they blow up the mission, killing all the innocents inside. Then they cut the rope they’ve tied the padre to, sending him plunging down a well. He’s rescued and sets out to even the score. His job is made easier by an ally named Goliath, a scorned saloon girl named Carol and the fact that The Three Aces didn’t trust one another, so they split the gold up into three hiding places. Pretending to be a salesman named Mulligan, the padre manages to find out where all the gold is hidden.

DAKOTA JOE (1967)-IN SPANISH WITH ENGLISH SUBS, HD SOURCE LETTERBOXED PRINT. Director: Tulio Demicheli, Stars: Robert Hundar, Fernando Sancho, Mirko Ellis. This forgotten Spaghetti Western packs thrills , action , and lots of shots and gunplay . There is plenty of action in the movie , guaranteeing shoot'em up , riding pursuits or stunts every few minutes . It deals with Dakota Joe , splendidly performed by Robert Hundar , he is fine as the villain/hero of the story . Starring Robert Hundar is cool as a cold killer turned into a defender , he is enjoyable as the hero of the story . Hundar is very nice , he ravages the screen, he shoots , hits and runs , besides receives violent punches, kicks and wounds . The story is wrapped in the aura of Mexican revolution and an event on the metamorphosis of Dakota , a gunfighter turned into a hero . However , Fernando Sancho steals the spectacle as a likable Mexican with dark secrets , being magnificently interpreted by this veteran Spanish character actor . Worthwhile watching for a demonstration of the confrontation , with some looks that say it all , between Robert Hundar and his rival , the cruel owner well played by Mirko Ellis.

RIDE AND KILL (1964)-LETTERBOXED PRINT. UNCUT AND HD QUALITY FOR THE FIRST TIME! Directors: José Luis Borau, Mario Caiano (co-director), Stars: Alex Nicol, Maite Blasco, Antonio Casas. Powerful local forces (George Rigaud , Giuseppe Addobbati or John MacDouglas as Judge , among others) enlist the services of a nasty gunfighter called Moody (Robert Hundar who starred a notorious Paella Western , Cutthroats) , to kill a shopkeeper in order to seize his ownership and to pay bribes ; as the gunslinger carries out an explosion on his property . After that , the town drunken named Brandy (Alex Nicol in a Robert Mitchum's El Dorado role alike) is hired as the new marshal after Moody kills the former (Antonio Casas) . But Brandy gathers together a reformed gunman (Luis Induni) , Pastor Andrews (Renzo Palmer) and a hopeful young boy (Mark Johnson) and both of whom face off the villain enemies . Then , the good people take on a blockade of gunfighters surrounding the little town and the prison . Meanwhile , Brandy is helped and finally falls in love for a hot-head young woman (Maite Blasco) . All of them fighting for their lives against the land baron (George Rigaud) and his hired killers such as the sinister Moody (Robert Hundar in Jack Palance's Shane role alike , he even is clad utterly in black and wears black gloves) whose finger itches demoniacally on the trigger every time he gets a contender in his sights . The failed partnership ends with poison murder and escape.

BLACK JACK (1968)-FINALLY LETTERBOXED, HD QUALITY AND 5 EXTRA MINUTES OF FOOTAGE! Director: Gianfranco Baldanello, Stars: Robert Woods, Lucienne Bridou, Rik Battagli. Following the robbery of a bank in the Wild West a gang gathers around Jack Murphy, their leader. Things go awry when Skinner, Reb, Mathias and the brothers, Bill and Gordon, realize Jack will divide the loot for his own good only. Furious with him, they decide to betray him and it is not long before they take action. They torture him and leave him for dead while his sister is raped and killed. But Jack survives and goes for revenge. There are some segments of fantastic photography in the desert, some poetic images of irreversible violence (mostly the thickening flame on front of the picture) which all make the film little closer to the masterpiece of spaghetti western, Il grande silenzio by Sergio Corbucci, and from the same year.

FOR $1000 PER DAY (1966)-LETTERBOXED AND HD QUALITY AT LAST! Director: Silvio Amadio, Stars: Zachary Hatcher, Pier Angeli, Mimmo Palmara, Rubén Rojo. Pier was 16 at the time and it was to be the first of many roles for this beautiful woman.

CHARITY AND THE STRANGE SMELL OF MONEY (1973)-ANOTHER WIDESCREEN HD VERSION (ROSALBA NERI IN HD IS NEVER A BAD THING!) OF A FILM PREVIOUSLY AVAILABLE ON GREEK VHS! Director: Italo Alfaro, Stars: Robert Malcolm, Piero Vida, Rosalba Neri. Charity (Malcolm) is in charge of delivering the railroad payroll, but some locals and a Mexican gang have their own plans for the money. This movie was a hoot - very cleverly performed and a great spoof on Italian spaghetti westerns. Charity Jenkins is a handsome actor who appears very natural and at ease. I wonder what happened to him (Robert Malcolm). I loved the Italian Mafioso inferences. There are several subplots that drive the movie - the money being the main one. Charity is controlling the delivery of the government's payment for the railroad, but the Italian saloon owner has other plans. So do the Mexican robbers. So does the robber-turned-padre. All of these combine with a little romancing, fighting, chasing, and clever interaction among all the characters. A fun to watch movie!

THE IMPLACABLE 3 (1963)-UNCUT HD WIDESCREEN PRESENTATION. Director: Joaquín Luis Romero Marchent (as Joaquin L. Romero Marchent), Stars: Geoffrey Horne, Paul Piaget, Fernando Sancho. One of the first Paella Western filmed in Spain with spectacular outdoors from Manzanares Del Real , and Colmenar Viejo (Madrid), location where were filmed a lot of Westerns , pre-Almeria boom . Good Iberian Western well realized by the best Tortilla Western director , Joaquin Romero Marchent . It packs crossfire , thrills , action , go riding , and lots of shots and gun-play . It's an exciting western titled "Magnificent three¨ with breathtaking showdown between the protagonist Geoffrey Horne and the enemies as Robert Hundar , Aldo Sambrell , Miguel De La Riva and other hoodlums . It deals with a family formed by father named Don César Guzmán (Geoffrey Horne) , mother (Charo Del Rio) and child living happily at their hacienda . When rancher leaves his wife without protection she is attacked by a group of heartless outlaws (Aldo Sambrell , Miguel De la Riva , Emilio Rodríguez , Lorenzo Robledo , among others) and it results in mother's murder . When he finds his spouse dead , he swears to carry out a bloody revenge . As Cesar Guzmán is relentless in his vendetta , deadly in his violence . The conflict is simple , one between avenger Guzmán against also merciless killers . As he seeks vengeance for the murder of his wife , being helped by a tough gunslinger (Paul Piaget) and a sympathetic Mexican (Fernando Sancho). They follow similar ways when seeking out vendetta for the mother's killing .

Italian-Spanish co-production filmed in Catalunya , full of familiar faces , assaults , exaggerated characters , gun-down , lots of shots , fights and with some looks that say it all , including an exciting ending .

WHISKEY AND GHOSTS (1978)-UNCUT HD WIDESCREEN VERSION! Director: Antonio Margheriti (as Anthony M. Dawson), Stars: Alberto Terracina, Fernando Bilbao, Maribel Martín. A snake-oil salesman is chased across the desert by a gang of Mexican bandits. He finds out, however, that he is being protected by the spirits of Davey Crockett, Pecos Bill and Johnny Appleseed. The story of the drunk ghost of Davy Crockett trying to coax an young man into going after some treasure is full of laughable invisible gags, some abysmal jokes that are far funnier than anything one could have planned and some of the shoddiest and just plain weird action scenes ever committed to film. However there is more here than just cheap laughs, there is also some rather bizarre and surreal scenes. These focus mainly on Davy Crockett's ghost as the other famous western icons (Pecos Bill, Johnny Appleseed etc.) attempt to convince him to join them as the Horse Riders In The Sky - which I guess is the wild west afterlife.

It is set in Nevada , in Sun Valley town , a place full of mud and dirtiness , with its Public School and the Sun Valley Bank , it is a very famous bank for being the safest office in the West , that's why it has never been robbed . But a gang led by Michigan (Mark Edwards) formed by grizzled gunslingers (Piero Lulli , Fernando Bilbao , Fernando Sancho , Frank Braña , Charly Bravo) arrives in the town in search of gold and they execute scheming plans to steal it by using dynamite , digging underground , and blow it up . Both of whom match wills and wits and ambition among them , and most especially greed threaten to turn their successful hold-up into disaster . Meanwhile , a loving triangle is developed among Poldo (Charly Bravo) , the saloon girl Sophia (Barbara Carroll) and her sister , the kiddies school teacher named Marion (Carmen Sevilla) . Along the way , the bandit Reyes (Fernando Sancho) is incarcerated at local jail but when the bank explosion takes place he escapes . Through enormous difficulties , they eventually succeed in robbing gold . At the end they struggle among themselves to unearth the golden bars from a remote location falling prey to each other's bullets.

LONG DAY OF VENGEANCE (1967)-ENGLISH DUBBED AND FOR THE FIRST TIME, CUT SCENES RESTORED WITH ENGLISH SUBS, LETTERBOXED PRINT. Director: Florestano Vancini (as Stan Vance), Stars: Giuliano Gemma, Francisco Rabal, Gabriella Giorgelli. After three years of heavy physical labor in a hellish prison in the desert, the former Sheriff Ted Barnett escapes. Barnett was framed by three men and wrongly convicted to thirty years hard labor for the murder of his father. He looks for those that had accused him, seeking revenge. My personal favorite among the many westerns Giuliano Gemma appeared in! Gemma portrays a prisoner with a ridiculously long beard (obviously inspired by the Count of Monte Christo here) who escapes after 3 years. Nonetheless, he quickly begins to hunt the 3 villains who got him sentenced although he was innocent: the killer Gomez (who is forced with a gun to shave off Gemma's beard first!), the corrupt sheriff Douglas (who has married the prisoner's girlfriend in the meantime) and the boss of the gang, Cobb, an honorable citizen it seems... It's a straight revenge story with a great cast of supporting actors: the 4 Mexican killers sent by Gomez, the doctor (Pajarito), the funny hangman, the two beautiful ladies (Nieves Navarro and Gabriella Giorgelli)... everybody is just perfect for the part they play! The terrific musical score by Armando Trovaioli with its trumpet theme sticks to the memory, too.

EL PURO (1974)-PREVIOUS COPIES RAN 94 MINUTES, THIS ONE IS 10 MINUTES LONGER AT 104 MINUTES, LETTERBOXED PRINT! Director: Edoardo Mulargia (as Edward G. Muller), Stars: Robert Woods, Aldo Berti, Marc Fiorini. A group of killers seek out wanted gunman El Puro for the $10,000 dollar reward. Their target, a drunkard and fed up with living, is roused to action after they murder his girlfriend, Rosie. The direction is more spirited, with a well staged gunfight and an excellently handled climax and manages to make some of the more slower scenes interesting enough at least to watch instead of skipping them and getting to the highlights. The acting is good in places, even if Robert Woods performance as "El Puro" is slightly disappointing after seeing his great role in "Black Jack" (1968), but Mario Brega, Marc Fiorini (as Ashborn Hamilton Jr.) and Maurizio Bonuglia acquit themselves well to there roles as the villains of the picture

SHANGO (1970)-BEAUTIFUL WIDESCREEN PRINT. Director:Edoardo Mulargia, Stars: Anthony Steffen, Eduardo Fajardo, Maurice Poli. Shango is a typical Anthony Steffen spaghetti western, beautifully photographed with great music, lots of sweaty Mediterranean actors posing as Mexicans, bad dubbing, and a sneering Eduardo Fajardo as a Confederate Major who is reluctant to see the south go down in defeat (a staple of these pasta oaters!). Lots of gun play, hurtling stunt men, put-upon villagers, and the reliable Steffen as Shango, a Texas Ranger who just wants folks to believe that the war is over. Good production values, great sets, fine music and lots of action make this one a winner, if you like spaghetti westerns.

During the first 12 minutes of this movie, the hero Selby shoots 12 guys, which sets an impressive body count. He has got a special gun with 4 barrels, so he can shoot more guys simultaneously, yet only if they line up properly.
